Dr. Nora Shilo

Naturopathic Physician

I am extremely passionate about changing the way my patients heal, and watching them make valuable connections and learn life-changing lessons on their healing journeys. My goal is to inspire my patients and help them become better versions of themselves by addressing the health-related aspects that are holding them back.

During my clinical internship at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, I was fortunate enough to see over 300 different patients from all walks of life. I’ve treated patients at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, Brampton Civic Hospital, and Queen West Community Health Centre. I’ve seen conditions ranging from mental/emotional disturbances, to hormonal imbalance, to musculoskeletal issues, cancers, and much more. My passion is fertility, reproductive health, endocrinology, and psychoneuroimmunology. I am fascinated by the human body’s ability to create life and want to help struggling couples through the process of conception – a process that, for many couples, has become stressful and difficult in our society, but should actually be one of most beautiful life experiences.

My approach is different in that my background in psychology allows for a more individualized interaction where I can address both the mind and the body. I treat each patient as a clean slate by creating a customized treatment plan for each new individual. I go the extra mile for my patients to find answers and perhaps try different forms of treatment that have not yet been explored.

The first appointment is a time for me to get to know you, and gather as much information as possible. At this time, I may refer for tests or perform a physical exam if one is indicated. Usually, the first visit also includes your first treatment. During subsequent visits, we will discuss your long and short-term treatment goals, and how we plan to achieve them together within a realistic time frame. I do not expect our relationship to be ongoing – I want to get you better and provide you with the tools to help yourself in the future. In order to come up with your treatment plan, I will choose from a wide array of treatments and therapies which include but are not limited to: dietary & lifestyle coaching, IV vitamin & nutrient therapy, herbal medicine, orthomolecular medicine, Bowen therapy, injections, acupuncture, and pharmaceutical agents.

I look forward to working with you and pointing you in the direction of optimal wellness.
